Okay, so I gave up the effort in Ledigos. Just couldn't walk another step in that kind of pain. A taxi took me the remaining 8k and charged me a whopping 17€. Holy Crap! Anyway, the kindness of the hospitaleros more than made up for the cab driver. The albergue was quiet at first.. Then all the peregrinos started coming in and it was party time til 22:00. The lights went out, but the whispering and the giggles went on. I didn't hear it, thanks to earplugs, but Sharon did. We decided to explore the tiny village...that didn't take long. We found a series of "Bodegas"... Wine storage built into the side of a hill. Some are very well cared for while others are falling into ruin. Did I tell you bout the wind?..Sharon was almost blown away on the way into the village.
