All country, no air....well this is dairy cattle country...what would one expect! We have to be careful walking through the tiny villages because the farmers take their dairy cows to and from pasture right down through the middle of the village. Cow patties every where. I met another herd of cows being moved, on the trail again this morning. Thankfully there was a wide spot for me to get out of the way
We stopped at a bar/cafe for something to drink and met Barney from Washington DC. He was rubbing Tiger Balm into his shins to, hopefully stop shin splints. Not good this close to the end. He was very nice. He asked how old we were (not sure how that came up) and when we told him, he said " you are my heroes! ". He is 62 and hasn't done anything like this and he said he knows it's never too late. What a nice thing to say!
We are just 10 days out of Santiago and enjoying our leisurely pace; soaking up all the beauty and mystery that is Spain.
Life on Camino is Good!
