Last night we stayed in a beautiful albergue in Ventosa. We had beds in a room with 8 beds. We managed to snag all 4 bottom bunks :). The hospitelera had a small Mercado and we went in with Carla to buy stuff for dinner. We had wine(of course), pasta with choriza & bacon, an omlete with onions, garlic, tomatoes. It was like heaven on a plate! Carla had a great time cooking and anyone who ventured into the kitchen was invited to join us. And they did, happily.
This morning I heard the beautiful Georgian Benedictine Monks chants being played and incense burning. The hospitelera was so warm and caring. She wished each one of us a Buen Camino and admonished each to put on rain gear cause it was raining.
The photos published previously are of this albergue.
I'm sorry this blog bus so disorganized.
Hello from Texas! You sound like you are having a lovely time. Hope the blisters are better! Love form Joanie and Glenna
